The ZTB-C4000 (Key: C) employs trumpet-style piston fingering and delivers the tonal range and character typical of a tenor trombone. Similar to the ZTB-4000 Bb, its .500-inch bore design categorizes it as a small-bore instrument, making it ideal for school ensembles, jazz performances, marching bands, and Banda music. The three valves operate using the same fundamental fingering system found in a Bb trumpet, baritone, or euphonium. Nevertheless, this instrument produces sound in the tenor-trombone register, which is one octave lower than that of a B♭ trumpet.
