The ZO ZEU-4500 Euphonium is a professional-style 3+1 valve Bb euphonium positioned above the ZEU-4100 in the ZO lineup. It is intended for advanced high school musicians, college performance majors, community band players, and serious soloists who want a larger, richer sound and professional ergonomics. While ZO does not currently publish a detailed product page for this model, distributor listings provide the following specifications.
The primary difference between the ZEU-4100 and the ZEU-4500 is the larger 310 mm (12.2-inch) bell and upgraded hard case. Both instruments use the same 3+1 valve layout, progressive bore, and non-compensating design, but the larger bell on the ZEU-4500 produces a broader, more resonant sound with increased projection, making it the more performance-oriented model of the two.
Why the 3+1 Design?
The fourth valve is operated by the left hand instead of the right hand.
